The Fight to Cure Rett Syndrome
What is Rett Syndrome?
Imagine the symptoms of autism, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, epilepsy, and anxiety disorder all in one child. This is Rett Syndrome, and it has afflicted 350,000 people worldwide, with about 15,000 cases in the U.S. These children are most often non-verbal, lose purposeful use of their hands, cannot walk or even feed themselves.
Picazzo’s Partnership
Picazzo’s has partnered with Rett Syndrome Research Trust (RSRT) to fund research for a cure, as there is scientific proof of principle that Rett is a curable condition. We will donate $1 for every cookie sold in all of our restaurants, with 100% of all donations going directly to RSRT to fund a cure! RSRT’s Cure 360 approach has six genetic-based approaches to finding a cure.
