June 24/25 GFAF Phoenix EXPO 2017
The Gluten Free and Allergy Friendly EXPO was very well received. People waited 20-30 minutes for a sample or two, or three of our GF cheese pizza and our GF Dairy free chocolate cookie! We had a lot of repeat samplers! That is what it was all about!
Picazzo’s Healthy Italian Kitchen’s booth had many regular guests from our five locations; Scottsdale, Paradise Valley/Phoenix, Tempe/Chandler, Sedona and Flagstaff, Arizona, stop by and tell us how much they LOVE our restaurant. Many have favorite servers and frequent often as our gluten-free specialty and allergy-friendly commitment to safe and amazingly delicious food with our extensive menu of pizza, pasta, salads, quinoa bowls, desserts, kids Jr menu, spirits and bolle menu give them countless reasons to come back.
Here is a posie photo of Jen Cafferty, FindMeGlutenFree ap founder and event organizer with Chris Disney (center), Picazzo’s Director of Operations and Rick Freedman (right) Picazzo’s Founder and Owner. They were all present for this two day GF and AF extravaganza!
An enormous amount of work goes into this event. There were so many samples available to the ticket holders. Sprouts was next to our booth and we couldn’t believe the number of gluten-free bags of snacks and apples they gave away!
The event had a “nut-free” zone also designated by red curtains, to keep all the guests completely safe.
We were lucky enough to meet Diana, the Instagram@ travelfarglutenfree blogger that came to the event to write about local dedicated gluten-free restaurants. After the Saturday event, she went to our Scottsdale location at the Promenade on Frank Lloyd Wright and Scottsdale Road, to photograph our restaurant and try several of our dishes. When she arrived, there were 4 ladies (photo’d) from @enjoylifefoods who were present at the event all weekend.
Lucky us, to meet such wonderful people, so dedicated to sharing safe, gluten-free restaurants to so many that would LOVE to dine like a “normal” person. It is highly impactful to hear celiac’s stories and the struggles they encounter with daily food issues and their struggles to socialize in the restaurant world today.
Many restaurants claim to make accommodations to offer GF options, but unless they truly understand how important it is to not cross contaminate utinsels, bowls, pans, ovens, etc., the guests often end up with their painful reactions soon after eating, but not at Picazzo’s Healthy Italian Kitchen.
We love our fans!
And finally, the all important and beloved breakdown crew after a long weekend! Thank you so much!
